Name of veterinary medicinal product:
Farmatyl, 1000 g / kg, powder for oral solution for chickens, turkeys and pigs.

Content of active substance (s) and other substances:
Active substance: Tylosan tartrate 1000 g / kg.

Treatment indications:
Chickens and turkeys – treatment of respiratory diseases (CRD) and sinusitis caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum and M. synoviae susceptible to tylosin. Pigs – treatment of enzootic pneumonia caused by Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. Treatment and metaphylaxis of proliferative enteritis (adenomatosis) caused by Lawsonia intracellularis.

Contraindications:
Do not use in horses due to possible inflammation of the cecum. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or other macrolide antibiotics.

Undesirable effects:
The use of the drug in pigs may cause irritation of the anal area, manifested by frequent and rapid shaking of the tail, erythema, edema of the rectal mucosa, rectal prolapse. If you experience side effects after the administration of this product or notice any alarming symptoms not mentioned in the leaflet (including human symptoms due to contact with the drug), please inform the responsible veterinarian, responsible entity or the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products. The application form should be downloaded from the website http://www.urpl.gov.pl (Division of Veterinary Medicinal Products).

Target animal species:
Hen, turkey, pig.

Dosage for each species, route (s) and method of administration:
The product should be dissolved in drinking water before being administered to animals.
Chickens and turkeys 80–100 mg of tylosin tartrate / kg / day, corresponding to 8,8–11,0 g of Farmatyl / 100 kg of body weight.

Pigs
For the treatment of enzootic pneumonia:
Farmatyl should be dissolved in drinking water to provide 25 mg of tylosin tartrate / kg / day.
In the treatment and metaphylactic treatment of adenomatosis: Farmatyl should be dissolved in drinking water to provide 5–10 mg of tylosin tartrate / kg / day. Should be used for 3–10 days (until 24 hours after the symptoms have disappeared). Drinking water should be prepared every 24 hours. In order to avoid incorrect dosing, body weight of the treated animals should be estimated as accurately as possible. Fluid intake is dependent on many factors including the age, clinical condition of the animal, environmental conditions. In order to ensure correct dosage should be monitored in fluid intake and suitably adjust the concentration of a medicinal solution. If this is not possible, use another veterinary medicinal product. The amount of product needed to treat a herd can be calculated using the following formula:

Recommendations for the correct application:
None.

Withdrawal period:
Edible tissues: hens: 1 day, turkeys: 1 day, pigs: 2 days. The product is not approved for use in birds producing eggs for human consumption.

Special precautions for storage:
Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Store at a temperature below 25°C. Store in the original package in order to protect from light. Do not use this veterinary medicinal product after the expiry date which is stated on the label. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Shelf life after first opening: 30 days. Shelf life after reconstitution according to: 24 hours.
